With emphasis on using ISIP data to provide the best instruction for students, Kathi Tiefenthaler will lead a session focused on 4 steps to ensure small groups and workstations are student focused, differentiated, and purposeful for students and formative, yet simple to implement for teachers.Success of this system within districts and schools and correlations of ISIP to the ISAT will also be provided.
Step 1: classroom environment
Step 2: routines and procedures
Step 3: small groups
Step 4: workstations
Participants will receive ready to go resources and examples to use right away, and a bonus link to download the complete step by step FREE guide for Small Groups and Workstations.
The professional development is based on our hands-on work with teachers, coaches, and administrators in real schools using real ISIP data. It provides a hands-on way for teachers to create and use small data boards called “Focus Folders” to effectively plan instruction and track student progress.Through use of these folders and the recommended instruction, teachers can support all students in achieving above average growth by the end of the school year.
