Participant(s) will gain an understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences and the impact of these experiences on the ability to self- regulate and engage in learning (brain function) in today's classroom setting. Participants will also learn "go to" strategies to support caring and responsive classroom expectations, and how to respond to difficult behaviors with compassion and self-control.This presentation is based on the presenter's doctoral research and highlights the work of renowned experts in this field of study.
