In this workshop you will learn how to use coding and STEM in an after school and summer camp curriculum that align with k-5 Idaho State Standards ELA, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. You will also learn techniques and tips on how to implement Coding and STEM into your everyday classroom curriculum.This course is designed for those who are interested in pursuing more avenues of bringing Computer Science to their School.

Lesson Plans and Curriculum will be shared with all who attend from Discovery Center of Idaho, Code.org, Scratch, Google CS First,and much more that is easy, free or low cost, and exciting on ways to do STEM and coding with your students.

You will all participate in hands on activities including but will not be limited to Rocket launching, Building Engineering, Video Game Design, programming, Bloxels and Ozo Evo Bots.


Resources will also be given on where to find grants and scholarships that help support teachers who want to bring more expensive products into their programs or who want to receive more professional development in Computer Science.Some resources are Idaho Stem Action Center, Codingwithkids.com, Discovery Center of Idaho.
