Exploring Digital Well-being for Teachers and Students

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

With regular tech use in schools in addition to use at home, it's important to learn how to balance our digital use with our other responsibilities. The concept of digital well-being is all about the realization of how we use technology both positively and negatively and the self-control that comes into play when trying to curb our negative tech use. Many tech companies are now promoting mindfulness of how we're using technology and even incorporating digital well-being into their devices. This session will offer ways for educators and students to assess their digital well-being, set controls on devices, and incorporate strategies to control bad habits and increase good habits when it comes to tech use. You'll want to have your smartphone ready to make some changes!
