Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

A Project Lead the Way Launch Lead teacher will walk participants through how to gain confidence in teaching Computer Science. We will guide participants through activities, projects, and problems that go beyond the basics and integrate core science into really good teaching practices. We will also talk about the progression of knowledge and skills through a PreK - 12 CS pathway, so you know why you are preparing career-ready kiddos.

PLTW Launch’s seven computer science modules bring learning to life and empower students to adopt a design thinking mindset. We will dive into two of these modules... In Animated Storytelling students build computational-thinking skills by creating animations based on their own short stories. In Grids and Games students learn about the sequence and structure required in computer programs and work in teams to build tablet games.
