Using a Project Based Approach to Improve Learning for All

A project based approach allows each student to show progress in the content while demonstrating college and career readiness through final products. We will talk about bringing in well planned projects to meet the needs of every learner in all content areas. Compass Academy is a project based school using a blended learning model in Idaho Falls. While we are a 1:1 school with many tech resources we will show ways to use tech to give more choice but also ways that you can achieve results and keep student choice with low tech options. Mary Towler is a Math teacher who has used project/problem based methods in several different integrations including Algebra with English and Speech. Amie Croft is integrating World History with Art, English,and Speech. Tami Rigby is a special education teacher working with the team to be sure that we are helping all students grow.
