Kuna Gateway to Technology - Planning your Middle School Career Pathways

Mike Wiedenfeld (CTE Administrator) from Kuna School District will provide research and a planning guide when preparing course experiences for new and exisiting middle schools. Identifying the right teacher, class scheduling, and finding the funding streams to pay for unique course experiences will be discussed. Logan LeCompte (Director of School Engagement) will speak about PLTW's Pre-K - 12 pathways and specific stories from students and teachers participating in the middle school courses.Come learn about these courses and how to implement them at your district.

Engineering Strand:
6th Grade: Design and Modeling
7th Grade: Automation and Robotics
8th Grade:Engineering Projects course.

Computer Science Strand:
Course 1: CODE.org curriculum
Course 2: PLTW Apps Creators
Course 3: PLTW Computer Science for Innovators and Makers.
