If We Don't Teach It 'They' Will Be Forcing Perspective One Human At A Time

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Humans of all sizes are feeling divided yet closer, more educated, or more ignorant? It seems like a bipolar mess reaping havoc one human at a time. But perhaps it's just humans and the algorithms they make forcing our perspectives.

Join this active learning session if you want to:
  • Look at the global landscape of media, values, and education today instead of just one vantage point that is being manipulated daily by transformational technology advancements and an economy craving human attention.
  • Test your own biases and triggers so you can gain compassion for your staff, community, and students.
  • Practice at least three media literacy strategies that any K-20 educator can use with kids/peers in our classrooms/schools to help combat misinformation/disinformation.
'Forcing Perspective One Human At A Time' looks to inspire educators and administrators alike to weave media literacy strategies into their work; instead of allowing social media, trolls, and clickbait to reap havoc on their student's mindsets, opportunities, and daily choices.
