Kerrianne Burch

Twin Falls SD
Elementary Music Teacher
My name is Kerrianne Burch, and I am officially addicted to implementing technology in my classroom. I have been teaching in the Twin Falls area since 2009 after moving here from Arizona. I graduated from Brigham Young University, Provo in 1999 with my degree in Elementary Education and promptly took the subsequent 10 years off to bear and raise five children. My husband of over 22 years is my MVP, supporting me in all ways when it comes to my teaching. I am thrilled to be back in the classroom and am excited to share my love of technology in education with other teachers. I am an ambassador for Seesaw and have enjoyed watching how the implementation of technology in the classroom can drastically alter the level of student engagement and excitement for learning. Over the past few years, students in my first grade classes have learned how to easily navigate between up to four apps at a time to create one final product, which they were then able to post in their digital portfolio for their various audiences to view and appreciate. This year, I transitioned to teaching K-5 Music and have enjoyed using Seesaw in my new classroom as well. I look forward to sharing this with teachers of all grades and hopefully infect them with my unending passion for the process.
