Jane Miller is the current Director of Instructional Technology for Federal Way Public Schools in Washington State and is characterized by her colleagues as having a depth of knowledge and versatility that provides learning and collaboration to occur and offers a variety of laughs! She has over 24 years in K-20 public education in various roles from classroom teacher, director, principal, state educational technology committees, adjunct faculty for Washington State University to NCCE Board Member. She has been recognized as the 2019 Microsoft Innovative Educator Sharing is Caring Award for supporting educator growth, 2018 NCCE Presidents Award for service to the educational community, 2012 NCCE Technology Leader of the Year, Microsoft Innovative Educator and Surface Expert 2016-2019, and 2002 Top 75 Distinguished University of La Verne Educators for Excellence. To continue to grow and share her expertise, Jane has been consulting across the united states since 2007 mentoring districts and schools on intentional technology integration and standards-based grading and reporting.

Currently under Ms. Miller's purview is technology Integration through the core curriculum and peer coaching models, establishing the foundation for a STEM region by establishing a K-12 STEM plan that includes three STEM/STEAM district demonstration sites in Project Based Learning, Personalize and Blended Learning, leading K-12 Standards-Based Grading and Reporting, and a principal for High School Credit Recovery.

When not advocating for equitable 21st century learning environments, Jane enjoys volunteering in the community through Soroptimist International, mentoring foster youth through fly fishing in The Mayfly Project, refining her fly fishing skills, and enjoying her e-reader while reclining in her camping chair.
